"The world would be perfect... without sounds." The scientist is so convinced of this that she decides to invent an instrument, a so called "mute-machine", which is able to capture and switch off all kinds of sounds: the annoying ones, but also the beautiful ones. She’s collecting all of them in a huge „sound-archive“.
Utter silence as a response to a world that seems too noisy?
Then an unexpected guest, a saxophone player, discovers the driven scientist's home and ends up reinventing herself (and her music) when she finds this room full of acoustic inspiration. Thanks to the collected sounds and with the help of her instrument, she conjures up, in front of the horrified scientist, magical new rhythms and combinations of melodies and tones. No one is talking about silence anymore!

„Die Welt wäre perfekt... ohne diese lästigen alltäglichen Geräusche”, davon ist die Forscherin überzeugt und entwickelt eine Maschine, die Geräusche aller Art einzufangen und auszuschalten vermag: die ganz „schön Störenden”, aber auch die ganz „schön Schönen”. Sie sammelt alle in einem großen „Ton-Archiv”.
Die absolute Stille als Alternative für eine als zu laut empfundene Umwelt?
Da entdeckt ein unverhoffter Gast, eine Saxophonspielerin, das Zuhause der getriebenen Forscherin und erfindet sich dabei selbst ganz neu in diesem Raum voller akustischer Inspiration. Und so zaubert sie (vor den Augen der entsetzten Forscherin) mit Hilfe der gesammelten Geräusche und ihrem Instrument neue Rhythmen, Melodien und Klangkombinationen. Von Stille kann keine Rede mehr sein.

„Le monde serait parfait... sans ces bruits gênants du quotidien“, pense la chercheuse et développe une machine capable de capturer et de faire taire les bruits de toute sorte: les „bien dérangeants, mais aussi les „bien beaux“. La scientifique les collectionne tous dans un grand archive audiophonique.
Le silence absolu peut-il être une alternative à un monde ressenti trop bruyant?
C’est qu’une hôte inattendue, une saxophoniste, déniche le bercail de la chercheuse et se réinvente dans cet espace baigné d’inspirations acoustiques. Devant les yeux de la scientifique horrifiée, elle crée quasi miraculeusement à l’aide des bruits collectionnés et de son instrument des rythmes, des mélodies et des combinations de sons inédits.
Le silence est définitivement rompu...
